1. General requirements:
a) All Guests (and any Visitors) must comply with all House Rules and any other instructions from the Host/Property Manager during their stay.
b) Guests must notify the Host/Property Manager of any disputes or complaints from neighbors as soon as reasonably practicable.
c) No third-party bookings permitted. If this should occur, the reservation will be cancelled with no refunds or credits given.
d) Failure to adhere to the check-out time may result in an additional late fee set at $150.00 unless discussed with the Owner/Manager/Host.
2. Noise and the Neighborhood:
a) This Short-Term Rental is suitable for children of all ages; however, Guests are encouraged to bring any/all necessary child care supplies for their stay. Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times, as well as any disturbance caused to other residents in the Neighborhood.
b) Guests and Visitors must keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb the occupants of neighboring properties – especially during nighttime hours (e.g. 10:00 PM EST-7:00 AM EST), and upon arrival and departure. This is a Vermont State statute (13 V.S.A § 1022. Noise in the nighttime) and can be enforceable by local police. Please keep music and voices low and be mindful of the noise while outside on the deck or in the hot tub.
c) Excessive noise is prohibited at all times and may result in termination of the rental agreement, eviction, loss of payments made and extra charges which may be deducted from the Security Deposit or charged post-stay by the online booking platforms.
d) A noise monitoring device is located in the interior of the home to ensure noise compliance rules set forth. Guests (and Visitors) shall not tamper with or disconnect the device.
3. Visitors:
a) Guests are allowed a maximum of four (4) Visitors at any time during their stay.
b) Guests are responsible for ensuring maximum visitor numbers are not exceeded, and that Visitors are compliant with the House Rules.
c) Any additional overnight Visitors must be approved in advance with Host/Property Manager during the booking process and are subject to an additional Guest fee as noted in the price.
4. Functions/Events:
a) Parties and large gatherings of any kind are prohibited at Stowe Country Cabin LLC.
b) Any small gathering must comply with the House Rules.
5. Parking:
Private parking is offered in the driveway. Parking in NOT permitted in the street. Parking shall be on the gravel driveway only, not on the lawn. Due to seasonal changes in weather, the driveway, as well as private and public roads may become muddy, rutted, slippery, or icy despite professional maintenance services provided. Use caution when driving, walking, and parking in driveway as to avoid damages or injuries.
6. Garbage and Recycling:
a) Guests and their Visitors are to dispose of garbage and recycling as stated below. Any excess trash can be properly disposed at Stowe Transfer Station (91 Dump Rd, Stowe, VT) and should not be left outside the home or additional cleaning fees will be assessed.
b) All trash & recycling must be secured in plastic bags provided and disposed of in their designated bins. The TuffBoxx bear-proof garbage bin must be closed. Please be mindful of our country location and secure the bin so bears and other wildlife don’t visit. Recyclable items (plastic, glass, paper: see sheet inside kitchen closet) should be secured in plastic bags and placed in the blue recycling bin.
c) Garbage & recycling pick up is on Mondays and Fridays. Please ensure that any and all trash/recycling is secured in bins and ready for pick up.
7. Safety & Security:
a) At Stowe Country Cabin LLC, we are committed to your safety and well being. As such, there are two exterior cameras (one motion-activated floodlight camera overlooking the driveway, and one doorbell camera next to the side entrance). Guests (and Visitors) are prohibited from covering, tampering with, or disabiling the security cameras in any way. If this occurs, the reservation will be canceled (no refunds) and Guests/Visitors will be asked to vacate the property.
b) Any time Guests leave Stowe Country Cabin LLC, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed/locked to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage. All entry should be made through the side door entrance (closest to the driveway). Please ensure the side door is fully shut so the deadbolt engages and smart lock is activated.
c) We are committed to a greener environment through energy-saving practices. We appreciate if our Guests turn off lights, air conditioning, fans, and/or electronics such as televisions, arcade game, etc. when not in use to promote energy saving.
d) Prior to your arrival, you will be emailed a secure, custom keyless smart-lock code that is generated for your reservation. Please confirm with the Host/Property Manager prior to Check-In that you have received the code. Should you encounter any issues with the Smart lock, reach out to the Host/Property Manager for assistance.
e) Stowe Country Cabin LLC is in full-compliance with all State and Town rental regulations, demonstrating our commitment to guest safety.
8. Deck & Staircases: Guests must supervise babies and children at all times when using the Deck and Staircases. Please use handrails as needed.
9. Smoking: Smoking, vaping, or use of illicit substances is NOT permitted at Stowe Country Cape LLC. Guests agree to pay an additional $500 cleaning/deodorizing fee if smoking occurs at the property. The Host/Property Manager have sole discretion in determining if a smoking-related violation has occurred.
10. Animals: Due to allergy issues, animals of any kind are NOT permitted at Stowe Country Cape LLC. This is a health and safety issue for the Hosts and must be followed.
11. Hot Tub:
a) The Hot tub hours are 8:00 AM EST-10:00 PM EST to be mindful of our neighbors and compliant with Vermont Noise Ordinance.
b) For safety reasons, it is not permitted to use any glassware in or around the hot tub area. Plastic drinkware is permitted. Plastic drinkware can be found in the bottom left corner cabinet (on the lazy Susan).
c) Guests must cover and secure the hot tub when not in use. Please ensure the cover aligns over the top of the hot tub and buckle all sides to secure it entirely. Please do this each and every time the hot tub is not in use to avoid the hot tub freezing, cover from blowing away, debris from entering the hot tub, and/or to avoid any damages to the hot tub.
d) Please refer to the Hot Tub safety rules posted nearby on the house and follow them accordingly.
e) Please be careful while walking on the deck as to avoid any slips or falls from wet/icy conditions.
f) Stowe Country Cabin LLC is not responsible for any adverse reactions caused by use of the hot tub.
12. Bulkhead/Bilco Basement Door:
a) Safety is our top priority at Stowe Country Cabin LLC and we have gone to great lengths to ensure you’re well protected. Per the State of VT Fire Safety code, we have installed a bulkhead/bilco door in the basement in case of fire as a secondary means of egress. Please DO NOT open the interior fire-rated door or bulkhead doors unless in an emergency.
13. Damages & Breakages:
a) Accidents happen! Please report any damages or breakages to the Host/Property Manager as soon as reasonably practicable. Failure to report them may result in a deduction from the security deposit or damage fees charged post-stay.
b) To avoid damages and breakages, no furniture is to be moved without prior consent from the Host/Property Manager.
c) No bathroom or hot tub towels are to be removed from the property.
d) Please remove shoes/boots upon entry and use the boot trays provided. NO SKI BOOTS are to be worn inside; please leave them on the door mat/boot trays in the mudroom. Store all ski/outdoor equipment in the mudroom on the racks provided.
14. Electronics/Services:
No refunds will be provided for the malfunction of any electronics, technology, or services, including but not limited to: cable, internet, TV, games, or smart home devices. No guarantee is offered for reception and no refunds are offered for failure, interruption in service, delay in response time or spotty reception of cable, satellite, internet, or other services to the property. If there are any issues with electronics, smart technology, or services at Stowe Country Cabin, please notify the Host/Property Manager as soon as reasonably practicable for further assistance.
15. Access to Stowe Country Cabin & Reporting of Repairs/Maintenance:
Guests shall allow Host/Property Management Company, and/or any necessary subcontractors/maintenance workers access to the property for purposes of repair, maintenance, inspection, or emergency. Host/Property Manager shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner by giving at least 12 hours notice (unless in case of emergency). Should any mechanical/technical/health/safety issues arise during the rental period, Guests are to notify the Host/Property Manager within 24 hours of any difficulty encountered so repairs or services can be arranged as soon as possible regarding the level of urgency. Neither the Host/Property Manager and any of its subcontractors/tradespersons shall be liable for any damages and no refunds will be given for such temporary failure, inoperable appliances or faulty equipment, or maintenance problems, provided that the Host/Property Manager is seeking to service, repair, or replace said issue/failure in a reasonable manner upon receipt of written notification from the Guests. False or unwarranted maintenance repairs requested by Guests, however, will be charged directly to the Guests. Any inaccurate, misleading, or false information provided to online booking platforms will be subject to litigation.
16. Guest Access:
Guests have access to all parts of the property except for the following areas: locked storage/supply closet in basement (unless permitted by Host/Property Manager).
